The Institute's traditional retreat seminar took place on September 15–17 in the picturesque location of Jizerka. The meeting provided a productive platform for sharing scientific results and strategic planning. The program included presentations and discussions on the most significant projects currently being actively implemented by the Institute, as well as the presentation of the outputs awarded in the competition for the best ICS publication of 2024.

A report was also presented on the Institute's successful participation in this year's Science Fair. The Director of the Institute, Petr Cintula, gave a presentation focusing on the current status and future strategic direction of the Institute in the areas of scientific research and infrastructure development.
The seminar was enriched by the presentation of external guest Steriani Elavsky, from the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava, on improving quality of life through digital technologies. Dr. Elavsky, recognized as one of the top female scientists in the Czech Republic in 2024 according to Forbes magazine, is the principal investigator of the project Research of Excellence on Digital Technologies and Wellbeing, in which the Institute is actively involved, with Patrícia Martinková in the role of co-investigator for the Institute.
